Not too much out of the ordinary has happened since the last post but I did need to reorganize the shop to become more efficient. In doing so I had to build a rolling cart for the drill press.

It is a fairly simple affair that freed up bench space. I don't have a whole lot of bench space so creating the cart will definitely help. Sometimes I feel like I have too many hobbies but they do keep me occupied. I am still reading the books in the series by I. T. Lucas when I take breaks and enjoying the series I am reading immensely.
The flower beds are really coming along nicely. Most of the flowers are starting to pop. It is that time of the year and the rains that we were getting there for a while helped. The weeding keeps me busy as well as the many other hobbies so there is no lack for work. I do have to attack the back yard at some point as it is getting overgrown. Having a large dog add an additional complexity to the mix. His toys are all over and as I pick them up he manages to put them al back before I turn my head. That project is going to be a real challenge.
I did finish cutting all of the limbs from the dead Japanese Maple that I took out a few weeks ago. I don't have a chipper so it took three green waste bins to get it all taken care of. I still have some of the thicker branches to take care of but they will be used in the fire pit in the back yard. The bigger trunks I cut to firewood length and gave to the neighbor across the street as he has a fireplace to burn it in.
I have finished work on the Seth Thomas mantle clock I was working on. It took a couple of weeks to get it to the right speed. For the last two weeks it has kept time to the minute without any further adjustments. I had almost thought it was a lost cause and didn't want to take it to a clock repair. Got to love a challenge.
There is not much else to report at this time so I will end here for this post and hope everyone is doing well out there.
