This week's activity

Well I finally got a window of opportunity. The weather was nice enough to start taking out that dead maple tree in the front yard. I worked on topping the most of it before working on the main trunks. This allowed me to fall the trunks where I chose rather than on the house or vehicles.

I still have a portion of the trunk that I need to take out but had to call it quits when I found there was a rock in the center of the trunk. The chain saw did not like hitting that. After quitting I sharpened the saw but it was getting a little too warm to continue. I will take care of that soon and then start the work on the flower bed.

I did not get a chance to do any more on the faceting of the citrine I started working on. I will pick that up soon. It appears that it may be on the order of 5 or 6 carats when done.
